A greatly enlarged map pin. Measuring 4.5 metres, it marks Wavrinsky’s Square in Göteborg in the same way as its normal-size equivalent would do on a map of the city. The head of the pin is red and the point is driven into the ground in the middle of a cross made of rolled steel, like an intersection of two drawn lines in a north-southerly direction. The material is varnished sheet metal, stainless steel and weathering steel.
Public permanent work at Wavrinsky’s Square in Göteborg, commissioned by Kulturnämnden Göteborgs Stad/Charles Lindbergs donationsfond
