The installation comprises six floating helium balloons, six clockworks and two photographs. Each balloon rotates slowly in a small orbit, revolving around its own axis. The clockworks labour quietly and somewhat spastically, interlocked in a line through thin plastic cords, from one pendular anchorage to another. The photographs are tender portraits of the artist’s ageing and sick father; one where he is asleep, and one where he can’t help himself from larking about in front of the camera.
